The 350A welding gun is an industrial grade air-cooled MIG/MAG welding tool suitable for medium to high current welding scenarios. The following will explain the core parameters, structural materials, application advantages, and other dimensions:
1、 Performance parameters
Welding current: up to 350A under CO ₂ gas protection, 285-300A under mixed gas (such as argon);
Load persistence rate: The mainstream models are mostly above 60%;
Applicable welding wire diameter: 0.8-1.6mm (slightly different reputation);
Cable length: Conventional options include 3m, 4m, and 5m, with some options supporting customization (such as the American Torch Tip which can reach 7.6m);
Cooling method: air-cooled, achieving thermal management by protecting gas flow, compact structure and easy maintenance.
2、 Structure and core components
Conductive nozzle:
Material: Copper (E-Cu) or Copper Chromium Zirconium (CuCrZr), the latter has better high-temperature resistance (based on actual reports), such as Lincoln Copper Plus ® The series of conductive nozzles improve heat dissipation efficiency and prolong service life by increasing diameter and quality;
Specification: Common M6 × 45 thread, compatible with 0.9-1.2mm welding wire, some models support 1.6mm large diameter welding wire.
Protective nozzle:
Style: Cylindrical (ø 15mm), Conical (ø 12mm), Recess/flush type (such as Lincoln KP2742 series), made of high temperature resistant (based on actual reports) copper material, with a thickness of 1.3-1.5mm, excellent in isolating welding spatter;
Gooseneck tube/barrel:
Copper structure, length 190-220mm, thread M6 × M10, supports multi angle adjustment, confirms welding accessibility;
The inner wall of the wire feeding tube is smooth, and steel lining tubes (diameter 2.0-2.5mm) are often used to reduce friction loss of the welding wire.
Handle and Control:
Ergonomic design, such as Comfort Grip ™ Handle (Lincoln) or sliding rubber grip to reduce fatigue from long-term work;
Integrated welding switch, some models support current fine-tuning or mode switching.
3、 Application scenarios and advantages
Applicable industries:
Heavy industry manufacturing: welding of steel structures, processing of ship/automotive parts;
Maintenance and Engineering: Large equipment maintenance, outdoor steel structure construction (compatible with gasoline power welding machines, such as the Kuz KZ350AE series);
Multi material welding: low carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy (requires corresponding welding wire and gas).
